AVEKA was approached by a customer to create a more reliable and effective way to classify their fine, low-density powder. At their current toller, the fine material was blinding the conventional vibratory screening equipment. This resulted in poor process efficiency and unpredictable yields.
AVEKA‘s R&D team examined the current screening test results and determined the material was a candidate for ultrasonic screening. During the first trial, the ultrasonic vibration and screen motion were finely-tuned for the particular characteristics of this powder. AVEKA achieved a higher material throughput with more precise particle separation, resulting in lower processing costs and a higher, more consistent product for the customer.
