Progress Continues on Cresco Food Technologies New Spray Dryer
Exciting progress out of Iowa as our Cresco Food Technologies plant installs our new spray dryer! This dryer is massive- measuring in at 50 feet wide by 21 feet deep and standing at 25 feet tall. That’s upwards of 95,000 pounds of structural carbon and stainless steel.
The dryer will be able to move 40,000 CFM of air through the drying chamber with the inlet air reaching temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. At full production, we are anticipating 6,000 lbs / hour of liquid evaporation on this renovated 5-head CE Rogers box dryer.
Fun fact! The dryer is anticipated to expand 1.5 inches to its 50 foot width when in operation.
