AVEKA and Bühler Sign Cooperation Agreement for North American Test Center for Wet Grinding and Dispersion
Woodbury, MN.  AVEKA Inc. and Bühler Inc., the American affiliate of the Bühler Technology Group, have teamed up to operate a new shared development and demonstration laboratory for wet grinding and dispersion applications.  The purpose is to offer Bühler ’s North American customers active in the fields of wet grinding and dispersion technology a high level of competent on-site support for test activities.  This cooperation will enable the two partners to offer customers an even wider range of process equipment and services and even more expert capabilities.  The test center enhances AVEKA’s dispersion service and contract manufacturing offerings by providing access to state-or-the-art media mills.  The shared engineering laboratory operated by the two companies will be located at AVEKA Inc in Woodbury MN and is ready for service as of April 2008.

MicroMedia® Bead Milling Available at AVEKA Woodbury, MN.   Dispersion development services for high-tech applications requiring particle size distributions in the lower nanometer range are now available at AVEKA utilizing the Bühler MicroMedia® agitated bead mill.  This new milling technique offers exciting innovation possibilities in areas such as pigment dispersions, ink jet products, ceramics, and nano-additives.

Nanoparticle Size Analysis Services Offered
Woodbury, MN.  AVEKA Inc has installed a Horiba LB-500 in its Characterization Services Laboratory to enhance its particle size analysis offerings. The new equipment can measure particle sizes as small as 3 nanometers.

CFT to Exhibit & Present at the Food Technology & Innovation Forum
Chicago, IL. Cresco Food Technologies LLC will be exhibiting at the Food Technology & Innovation Forum on May 1 & 2, 2008 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center in Chicago.  Dr. Willie Hendrickson will present a Technology Showcase titled “Understanding Critical New Directions in Food Additive Microencapsulation.”

AVEKA to Exhibit at the American Coatings Show 2008
Charlotte, NC. AVEKA Inc. will be co-exhibiting with Bühler Inc at the American Coatings Show . The 2008 Exhibition is being held in Charlotte, NC from June 3 – 5.  AVEKA will highlight its dispersion related services including bead milling, dispersion preparation formulation development, contract manufacturing and characterization services.
