   Project Overview:
The customer was looking to use a mineral in a medical device application.  In order to use this mineral in their process, the customer needed a free-flowing powder with very little contamination.

AVEKA Solution:
AVEKA spray dried the mineral with a polyvinyl alcohol binder to achieve an agglomerated particle with a narrow particle size distribution. AVEKA ran several pilot runs with the customer to determine the right polyvinyl alcohol binder, the concentration of the binder and drying conditions.  This customer is now a recurring production customer.  AVEKA has also used this approach in several industries where a free flowing powder is needed.
